Robert A Winstanley BDS (Edinburgh)
Dentist GDC: 67808
Robert originally comes from Bolton, Lancashire where his father
was also a dentist. After graduating from Edinburgh University in
1992 he worked in several Oral Surgery Hospital Departments in
Edinburgh, followed by a Senior House Officer position at the
Manchester Royal Infirmary, where his interest in dental implants
started.
Robert has been at the Ruthin Dental Practice now over 18 years
and for eight years combined this with a clinical post in the
Orthodontic Department at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. He now
provides orthodontic treatment for patients in Ruthin and the
surrounding areas. (He has been a Vocational Trainer, which
involves mentoring newly qualified dentists over their first year
following graduation).
He has completed numerous post graduate courses. In 2003 he
undertook a year long Dental Implant course under Professor
Ucer. This has enabled him to place and restore Dental Implants in
the practice in Ruthin for our own patients, and also for patients
referred from other dental practices. In 2011, under Dr Paul
Tipton, he completed a year long Restorative Dentistry Programme.
Robert continues to strive to provide his patients with advanced
treatments that modern dentistry has to offer.
Thomas Gregg BDS (Bristol)
Dentist GDC: 83449
Tom graduated from Bristol Dental School in 2004 where he was
awarded the class prize for Prostodontics (Dentures). A rural life
called and he immediately joined Ruthin Dental Practice to
complete his community training (VT) year under the guidance of
Robert Winstanley. Tom met his now wife, Sarah, at Dental school
and they both live together just outside Ruthin with their young
family.
Tom’s interests in cosmetic dentistry and smile improvement led
him to further studies at UCLAN post-graduate dental school where
was awarded a Diploma in Restorative Cosmetic Dentistry in 2011
after several years of studying and completion of a case book
which can be viewed in the Practice.
Tom continues to strive to offer patients the best smile they can
achieve with the minimum of invasive treatment. He is Post Grad in
Orthodontics at University of Warwickshire and can provide a wide
range of orthodontic treatment to move teeth into a better position
for you. Treatments include traditional fixed braces and invisible
aligners.
